The goal is to identify winning attitudes, habits, disciplines, and vision. That’s the kind of person we want to add to the team. (note:  some questions may not be “legal” so use your head)

  1. What are you doing weekly to improve your leadership?

  2. What are you doing weekly to improve your creativity?

  3. What are you doing weekly to improve your technical ability?

  4. What are you doing weekly to improve your communication ability?

  5. What are you doing weekly to improve your business knowledge?

  • Marketing & Sales

  • Operations

  • Regulatory

  • Engineering

  • Management

  1. What is your system of time management?

  2. What book are you reading and what books have you read over the last 2 months?

  3. What organizations do you belong to?

  4. Can I see your written list of goals?

  5. Are you open to mentorship and training in all of the above areas?

 

 

After Hiring Questions

The goal is to know what makes the team member “tick.”  What are their hot buttons?  How are they best motivated?  How are they best utilized?

 

  1. What makes you CRY?  (What touches your heart, what moves you to action?)

  2. What makes you SING?  (What brings you great joy, happiness, pleasure?)

  3. What do you DREAM about?  (Places to go, possessions, activities, experiences, contributions?)

  4. What makes you LAUGH?  (What do you enjoy, who do you like to be around?)

  5. What do you THINK about?  (What dominates your thoughts? Work? Play? $$? Relationships? God? Personal Significance?)

  6. What do you TALK about?  (What areas do you have strong opinions in?)
