Philosophy of Ministry

Here's my observation: I have never, ever, ever seen a motivated, progressive, happy Christian who was not involved in Christian ministry. By this I mean that there are a lot of unhappy, worrisome, non-victorious Christians who are so not because God doesn't care about them, but because they violate God's formula for happiness: Get Involved In The Lives of Others; Take Your Eyes Off Yourself; Put Your Faith Into Practice; Do The Good Works You Were Created To Do!!

Further, in personal evangelism my philosophy is to meet the other person where they're at. To make the simple truths of the Christian faith understandable and attractive. To love my neighbor as myself, as Christ loves me.

Results of This Philosophy

For over 30 years I've been involved in jail and prison ministry. I started small, just being a part of a team of athletes in the prison, then began with a church team doing services in a jail. Over the years I've progressed to a leadership role in a major jail and prison ministry, having trained dozens of preachers and ministry leaders, and staying faithful myself. I have, with my ministry team, led hundreds to Christ. And personally being very, very happy in the process!

I've done a lot of door-to-door and personal evangelism. My testimony among the non-Christian is strong and consistent - I have not brought shame to the name of Christ.
