Philosophy in My Career

I believe that hard work and smart work is the key to success. In my field education is the gateway, and I've earned a 4-year degree plus a professional license. On the job I believe that adding value, moving forward, and continuously improving is mandatory for ongoing success. To be a leader, education in this area is also important, and I read management and leadership books, as well as listen to tapes and seminars, on a very regular basis. I work as unto the Lord, and believe that with Him looking over me, I must do the very best I can at all times.  Adding value to the organization, and myself, is mandatory to career prosperity.

Results of This Philosophy

In my career I've had opportunities to earn several patents, lead various engineering teams as their manager, mentor and motivate younger engineers and technicians, and earn a solid, consistent income. Whenever personality clashes have become unavoidable (in two cases) in my career, I've always lined up other employment. I have never been on unemployment in the 30+ years I've worked in industry. My services have always been in demand.
