(Survey Introduction)
We have noticed some problems with everyone making it to the Sunday afternoon Family Worship Service. We are looking at a possible change to Thursday nights and would like to know if you think this would be a better time and day.
If this change is made it will not take place for some time. However, we would appreciate anything you might have to say on the possible move.
[Five inmates responded, #1, #2, #3, #4, #5. All of them signed their names. Inmates #3 and #4 have not attended the services yet.]
(Survey Questions)
Question 1 – If the Family Worship Service was moved to Thursday night would you still be able to attend?
1. Yes, my family and I would attend.
2. Yes
3. Yes
4. (School night) Sundays are good.
5. No.
Question 2 – Do you think this would be a better day and time?
1. Yes
2. I think a weeknight should be Friday so the kids are not up late then have school the next day. It would be nice to have the service at night so it’s longer. Yet the night ride home means the kids won’t get to bed until late and will have school Friday. If it’s on a Friday family and kids will be able to stay for the full service and make it home and that will not make work or school a problem for the next day.
3. Yes, for them it would be.
4. Sunday because more people don’t work.
5. No.
Question 3 – Do you and your family enjoy the services?
1. I went once, but yes, we enjoyed it.
2. Yes, it’s a blessing!
3. N/A, they haven’t made it yet.
4. Haven’t attended yet.
5. Very much
Question 4 – Is there anything you would like to see added or adjusted? If so, what?
1. To have it at least two times per month.
2. More time to talk one on one with the guests and kids so the kids feel comfortable in the service.
3. N/A
4. (no response)
5. More interactions with kids and mom and dad. Also for the program to start on time.
Question 5 – Do you think the program should be longer?
1. Yes, if possible.
2. Yes.
3. No.
4. If it benefits the kids then yes.
5. Yes
Question 6 – Anything you would like to say about the program?
1. Well, I have only been to one service but from what I saw it’s a wonderful thing you guys are dong for us with kids we love so much. Keep up the great work and you can count on me and my family to attend every service.
2. The program is a blessing and truly a prayer answered. This time with the kids and family is something very much needed in here. The people who come in a doing a great job and such a blessing to me and my family.
3. Hope that my family will be able to make to them soon. (What day/time will the next service be?)
4. When I attend the next group I’ll be able to answer a couple of these questions.
5. I was surprised how much my daughter liked it. Maybe you can think about Sunday night so we can have more time. My wife works during the week. Thanks for your time and ear. P.S. Last month my family wasn’t on the list? I sent my slip in the same day I received it. Unfortunately I did not receive anything confirming they were on the list, so I told them to come at night. Can you send me something saying they are approves so we wont have this problem again? Thank you. Also, we should be able to purchase food and soft drinks from the vending machines. Other than that I feel it is an excellent program.
