Message of the Month
What do you tell a young inmate who is facing years in prison? Do you give him some platitude and encourage a positive attitude? Or do you tell him things that will assist him in making a decision for Christ, and then aid in making his Christian experience meaningful, relevant, and applicable to his life? At Prisoners For Christ we choose the latter (www.pfcom.org). Working together with the jail and prison chaplaincy our 1,200+ volunteers locally, nationally, and internationally seek to bring solid teachings to the inmate population such that the lives of men, women, and juveniles behind bars will turn from crime to Christ, from despair to hope, from attitudes of revenge and bitterness to peace and contentment and forgiveness.
The majority of messages on this page have been created for use in jails and prisons, and they all have application anywhere Christian teaching is desired. The gospel goes right after real-world issues, and that's what we teach at PFC - how to live as a Christian (whether behind bars or not). If the messages are “direct” it’s because that’s how the inmates like it and that’s how we teach it.
All messages are two-pages long (unless otherwise specified) and are written by Bob Jordan (unless otherwise specified) of Prisoners For Christ Outreach Ministries. They are free to use for the edification of the Christian Church. Sale of these messages is prohibited. If there is a theme or subject you are interested in but don't see, write to me and I'll develop a teaching for you. If you would like to be on an automatic monthly mailing, or know of someone who does, write for your free on-line monthly message.
The Message of the Month is an apolitical free monthly email of a Christian message written by Bob Jordan and largely taught in the jails and prisons of Washington State each month. Paper copies are provided to all attending inmates when these messages are taught in jail and prison. Errors in the teachings are my own and not a reflection on Prisoners For Christ Outreach Ministries.
